GARY BAUER was born and raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School. He and his wife Mary have been married 44 years and have three children and four grandchildren. They are active members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Bauer earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from The Ohio State University and holds the rank of Professor Emeriti from The Ohio State University. He has been an educator for 38 years, first as a vocational agriculture teacher and then as an extension educator with Ohio State University Extension. He retired from extension upon his election as County Commissioner. He served the Norwalk School District as a board of education member for 11 years and the EHOVE Board of Education and has been a 4-H advisor for 39 years. He is a member of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, 2005 thru 2010, and also the Jobs, Economic Development, Infrastructures Committee, 2005 thru 2010. LARRY SILCOX is a life-long resident of Huron County. He has two children. He graduated from Norwalk High School and attended The National Training Center of Polygraph Science, and is a Forensic Phychophysiologist. Larry is a former Huron County Deputy Sheriff, worked for the Ohio Attorney General, was Safety Service Director for the City of Norwalk, and worked in the Engineering Department for the City of Sandusky. Larry was elected to his second term on November 4, 2008.
JOE HINTZ was born and raised in Huron County. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1974. He served in the Ohio National Guard from 1976 – 1982. Joe has been self employed since 1976. He's a member of the Huron County Camp of the Gideons International, serving in the jail ministry. He and his wife Elaine have four children and four grandchildren. Joe and his family are Christians and attend The Chapel in Sandusky.
