Terry Boose

Terry Boose earned a bachelor's of science degree in business management from Bowling Green State University and a master's in business administration from Texas Tech University. He worked as a management consultant for Arthur Anderson & Co. for four years in Dallas, Texas and Columbus, Ohio before returning to Huron County in 1984 to become part of his family's vegetable and fruit farm in the rural Norwalk area.

Before running for Huron County Commissioner, Mr. Boose became interested in public service through various roles in the Huron County Farm Bureau and as president of the Huron County Jail Committee. Through the jail committee, Mr. Boose was part of a successful campaign to replace Huron County's century-old jail and reduce a large backlog of jail sentences.

In his first term as commissioner, Mr. Boose has served on the Private Industry Council, Data Processing Board, Farmland Preservation Committee, Huron County Extension Advisory committee, Jobs First Advisory Board, and as president of the Solid Waste District.

Mr. Boose and his wife Mary Lisa have been married for 15 years and have four children. A 1974 graduate of St. Paul High School, he is an active volunteer for St. Paul Church and schools.
