Huron County Engineer’s Office – Highway Worker I 

The Huron County Engineer’s Office will accept applications November 5, 2018 for the full-time position of Highway Worker I through November 23, 2018.

Highway Worker I will be responsible for maintaining and repairing county roads and bridges.  This position involves routine construction work in the operation of vehicles and/or equipment.  This may require being on call 24 hours a day.  Rate of pay will be $15.51 after a 180 day probationary period.

Qualifications for the position are completion of secondary education or equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Applicant must possess a valid State of Ohio Class B CDL or obtained within (6) six months of employment; must maintain insurability under the Engineer’s insurance policy.

Potential candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
