Huron County Department of Job & Family Services is accepting applications for a receptionist position. This position performs receptionist duties by assisting customers and visitors to determine reason for visit to agency, refers to appropriate personnel, enters information into various computer programs; answers, screens and directs incoming calls and takes messages as needed for agency using telephone computer-based switchboard; scans agency documentation and/or correspondence into the document Imaging System. Date stamps and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail; determines eligibility for non-emergency Medicaid transportation programs; issues fuel cards to qualified recipients; maintains case files; assists in scheduling and/or rescheduling appointments; and collects voter registration forms weekly, logs them into spreadsheet and sends via interagency courier to Board of Elections.
This is a full-time position starting at $14.31 per hour with excellent benefits. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, writing skills, computer skills and time management skills. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
